The cauliflower heads of these Cauliflowers are typically pure white in colour and have a dense, tightly packed curd.
This is considered to be one of the finest flavoured heirloom cauliflowers available with heads that are dense, crisp and tender.
This open-pollinated heirloom cauliflower variety was developed in the USA and first offered to the public in 1883 by the seed merchants Peter Henderson and Company.
How big do Snowball Cauliflowers grow?
The plants typically reach a height of around 60-90cm, and the heads are ready for harvest when they reach their full size and the curds are still tightly closed.

Growing conditions:

- In cold regions sow from mid-Spring to late-Summer, in temperate regions sow from mid-Summer to late-Autumn, in the sub-tropics sow from early-Autumn to early-Winter. In the tropics sow from mid-Autumn to mid-Winter
- Sow cauliflower seeds direct or as seedlings in a full sun or part shade position
- Plant seeds 6mm deep, spacing plants about 50cm apart
- Keep soil moist, not wet
- Inspect plants regularly for cabbage white butterfly caterpillars, remove them by hand
- This variety has a high resistance to mildew
- Germinate in 7-14 days
- Mature in 70-90 days
