Easy to grow

Growing the Small Animal Forage Mix is simple, and it can be cultivated in garden beds, containers, or scattered straight on to the foraging position.

Be sure to keep your chickens and other small animals off the planting area until the plants have established. Once they have eaten the plants, move your animals to another area – this will allow the plants to re-grow.

Growing notes

• Prefers a full sun or part shade position in well drained soil
• Seasons: All year round in most areas. In colder areas avoid planting in Winter. In tropical areas avoid planting in Summer.
• Grow in a container or sow seeds directly where foraging will take place
• Lightly cover the seeds with soil and water
• Germinate in 7-10 days

Each pack has approximately 200 seeds.

Tip:

To enable the plants to keep re-growing, only let your animal half eat the plants. In a week or so they will have grown again, and you can keep re-using the plants.
