Growing notes

Prefers a full sun or part shade position in well drained soil

  • Plant 5cm deep and 30cm apart
  • Grow in a container full of potting mix
  • Lightly cover the seeds with soil and water
  • Germinates in 7-14 days
  • Matures in 80-100 days

Tips:

No need to soak seeds in water before planting.
Broad Beans need cold weather to kick start their growth so plant in cool conditions.
If you’re in a cold weather area, don’t sow later than mid Winter.
If your Winter is mild, you can plant in Winter – early Spring.
