Cucumber Poinsett
Cucumber Poinsett is a unique variety of cucumber known for its distinctive appearance and flavour.
It’s a small to medium sized cucumber with a slightly curved shape and vibrant green skin.
The name “Poinsett” is derived from its similarity to the shape of the Poinsettia flower.
What sets Cucumber Poinsett apart is its taste, which is often described as crisp, refreshing, and mildly sweet.
It has a subtle hint of melon-like flavour, making it a popular choice for salads, sandwiches, and pickling.
Its firm texture and low seed content contribute to its culinary appeal.
Cucumber Poinsett is typically harvested when it reaches a length of 15-20cm.
It is a fast-growing variety, known for its high yields and relatively short growing season.
This makes it a favoured choice among gardeners and farmers looking for a cucumber that matures quickly.
