Growing notes

  • Prefers full sun
  • Keep soil moist but don’t over water as beans can rot
  • Soak bean seeds in water for an hour or two before planting – this will speed up the germination
  • process
  • Sow direct in Spring – Summer
  • Sow 25mm deep and 15cm apart
  • Germinates in 8-11 days
  • Harvest in 70 days

Tips: Regular picking will encourage more growth. Pods are best eaten when young and tender. If you want dried beans, let the bean pods fully mature.
